Licensing and Copyright

ArchaeoPY is made available under the following licences:

  • GNU General Public License v3
  • ArchaeoPY Commercial License.

If you use the GPL version of ArchaeoPY any code/program incorporating sections of ArchaeoPY must be licensed under a compatible license.

If you are unable to distribute your code under the terms of the GPL you must obtain a commercial license from ArchaeoPY.

The financial terms of the commercial license will be decided by the contributors (based on Bitbucket statistics) to ArchaeoPY

To maintain standard licensing and copyright over disparate ArchaeoPY source contributors are required to complete a "Contributor Agreement". This is based on the Oracle Contributors Agreement and allows both ArchaeoPY and the author to maintain rights over code.
